Shopping Centre

A Shopping Centre in East London had a requirement for Focus Washroom to fit out an existing storage area with the aim to provide better facilities for a new, bigger, merged team. The females changing space included: toilets, wash hand basins and a separate showering facility.

The project required rapid design development after the initial site survey and scope development, which took place in September, and a swift start, in order to complete the project to the required date – 31st December.

We recommended all products out of our laminate and stocked sanitary and brassware ranges to make the process as easy for the client as possible. Colours were selected by the client with assistance from our design team at the final measure meeting.

Ensuring privacy for the changing area was critical, as the entrance opens directly off a main circulation corridor. We put together various layout options and sat down with the client to specifically address this challenge to ensure a solution was reached that was of total satisfaction. Trovex Solid Grade Laminate cubicles in the S3:60 range were chosen for the toilet cubicles and vanity units and T1:90 for the shower enclosure to ensure full privacy. Trovex Hygienic Wall Cladding was added to the shower area to provide a low maintenance, wipeable wall finish.

The project was completed 10 days before the required finish date and the client was “very impressed with the way Focus Washrooms have approached this project”. Focus Washrooms are going on to complete another area of the building shortly.
