Campsite toilet and shower refurbishment in Oxfordshire

Overview

Riverside Campsite toilets & showers

Client: South Oxfordshire & Vale of White Horse District Council

Refurbished male and female washrooms with showers at Riverside Campsite. The aim was to modernise and improve the experience for campers.

  • The refurbishment commenced with the stripping out of existing washroom and then new works started with a comprehensive overhaul of the plumbing system. This included a new hot water plant and twin-head cold water booster pumpset. New shower drainage gullies were also installed to ensure effective water management in the shower areas.

Walls were prepared and covered in hygienic wall cladding for ease of maintenance and durable, non-slip, floor tiles were laid. New energy efficient LED lighting were installed.

The main room furnishings started with high-quality and durable solid grade laminate (SGL) ducting, cubicles and vanity units which will last in a high-traffic campsite environment. New sanitaryware and hardwearing Corian vanity tops completed the installation.

  • The building required a complete redesign of the plumbing infrastructure and the campsite required the washrooms to be complete before the opening of the summer season. We used our 25 years of experience to manage the delivery of this refurbishment.

  • We delivered modern facilities on time for the campsite's summer opening, improving camper comfort and satisfaction.
