Mothers room and baby changing room refurb at shopping centre

Overview

The management at The Chimes, Uxbridge previously used Focus to refurbish the washrooms at the shopping centre and they know the importance of good washrooms to keep customers happy, and coming back to shop.

  • The mothers room was in need of an update and was previously designed around a swimming pool theme which was cold and unsightly, so the client wanted the new scheme to lift the feel of the room. They also wanted to make the feeding cubicles completely private and the room welcoming to parents overall.

A new room layout was decided to make the best use of space which resulted in a toilet area, two baby changing stations and two private feeding cubicles.

  • The refurbishment started with installing new sheet vinyl on the floor and smart grey wall tiling. Then the cubicles and vanity units were installed – these were made from solid grade laminate from Trovex’s Privacy range which are very durable and easy to clean. The cubicles were full height to ensure that users felt safe and secure whilst caring for their children. The vanity unit tops for the sinks and under the baby changing units were made from durable Corian, to give a premium feel. All the sinks in the room had sensor operated taps and the flush was touch-free too for improved hygiene.

  • A special feature of the refurbishment was a bespoke designed Trovex Gallery wall cladding image of a cute woodland scheme. Gallery is a cost-effective and hygienic way to brighten up any room!

The refurbishment looks great and many thanks to all involved on a successful project
