Overview

Glyndebourne is one of the finest and most celebrated Opera Houses in the world. Stunningly located in the heart of East Sussex, Glyndebourne delivers world-class opera performances to over 150,000 people every year.

• Design

  With so many visitors, the washrooms are naturally an area of high traffic, especially during short intervals in performances, and so they needed to be robust, easy to maintain and fit in with the prestigious surroundings. We were thrilled to win this washroom redesign project to improve the experience for Glyndebourne’s visitors and to create a functional and luxurious washroom that was fit for the clientele.

• Works

  Our works schedule was set not to disrupt Glyndebourne’s performance programme so we installed our washrooms during their winter break, working within tight timescales. We specified full height cubicles for total privacy and the customer selected stunning dark wood finishes that contrasted beautifully with fresh, clean white facilities and red brick walls.

• Result

  The result was a sleek and contemporary washroom design that complemented Glyndebourne’s brand values and as part of our promise was finished on time and on budget. The client was delighted and feedback from visitors has, of course, been positive. We fully recommend a visit to this impressive establishment!
